Ray Allen Williams, II made his transition from this life on Thursday June 6, 2024. He was born May 9, 1975 in Culver City, California to Ray Allen Williams and Willie Mae (Bae Mae) James-Lewis.
While born in California, Ray was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was a lifelong U of M fan. He graduated from Pioneer High School and went on to attend Washtenaw Community College.
Ray loved to laugh and had an infectious smile. He was one of the silliest people ever but also one of the smartest.
Ray had a big heart and cared deeply for his family. He loved being a dad and constantly spoke about the importance of loving on your family while they are here. The only love greater than the love he had for his family was his love for God. Ray’s faith in God was the source of his strength throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father Ray Williams, his mother Willie James, and his sister Telecia James.
Ray’s memory will be cherished by his daughters Aysha Williams and Daija Oliver; his siblings Tanya (Ernest) Wallace, Robert Currie, Benita Currie, Lafayette Currie, Kimberly (David) Richardson, Shavonne Hester, and Shamar (Burabari) Newton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
