Joshua Earl Wright was born in Detroit, Michigan, and later moved to
Mississippi at the age of eleven. He attended Northwest Rankin High School
in Flowood, Mississippi, where he completed his education.
Joshua accepted Christ at an early age at Word of Faith–Saginaw under the
leadership of Pastor Kevin E. Wright. He was also a member of Word of Faith
International Christian Center under Bishop Keith A. Butler.
Joshua remained a faithful, longtime member of Word of Faith Christian
Center–Mississippi under the leadership of Bishop Kevin E. Wright. Joshua
served in the Children’s and Youth Ministries and participated in the Young
Men of Valor Mentorship Program, where he was honored as Mr. Esquire.
Desiring to grow in his faith, Joshua attended Rhema Bible Training Center
and received his one-year certificate. Throughout his life, he remained
devoted to God, trusting Him through life’s challenges.
Joshua enjoyed sports and was an outstanding baseball player. He pursued
several areas of study and work, earning an associate’s degree from Full Sail
University in Sound Engineering, where he enjoyed creating music. He was
also a graduate of HVAC training, obtained his CDL as a truck driver, and
attended barber school.
One of the greatest joys of Joshua’s life was his son, Julius Earl Wright, born
in December 2007.
Joshua was known for his kind heart and concern for others. He was
especially thoughtful toward those in need, offering encouragement and
positivity.
Joshua leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Julius Earl Horne-
Wright; his parents, Kevin and Leslie Wright; his brothers, Stephen Wright,
Daniel Wright, and Micah Wright; his sister, Melissa (Lamarcus) Lyles; his
