Clyde Wayne Newton, Jr. was born November 6, 1962, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was the first of four children and was baptized in 1974 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He passed on December 4, 2024.
He leaves to cherish his memory of one brother, Gregory K. Newton; two sisters, Marilyn Stema (Mike Stema) and Catherine M. Newton; one niece and two nephews; one great niece and three great nephews; four aunts and one uncle; many cousins and other relatives, and many dear friends. His parents, Clyde Wayne and Carrie Ruth Newton, preceded him in death.
Wayne was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator by trade and by passion. He loved good, hearty food and knew where all the good restaurants were.
Wayne was a member of the Ypsilanti Church of Christ. Because his love for people’s souls was always on his mind, he often found a way to present church invitations to strangers.
Wayne’s selflessness to help anyone who asked will be cherished and missed dearly. He loved to shop online and would always buy extra to give away. Wayne had many friends who he enjoyed bringing together when he saw they could help each other.
His easy smile and sweet, gentle soul will be fondly remembered.
