Lawrence Savage

Lawrence “Larry” “Bubba” Savage, II, age 67 of Troy, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 1, 1954 in Columbus, OH to the late Lawrence and Cora Jean (nee Horton) Savage, Sr.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Whitman.
Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his loving wife Donna Maria Savage of Troy; children, Larenzo Savage of Troy, Jordyn Savage of Philadelphia, PA, Kamren Savage of Dayton, OH, Keesean Savage of Lucasville, OH, and Orlando Savage of Troy; sisters, Janet Savage and Mattie Jordon both of Ypsilanti, MI; brothers, Dale Savage of FL, Sidney Savage of MI, and Elton Savage of Atlanta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry graduated from Ypsilanti High School. He then joined the United States Air Force and went on to receive his associate’ s degree from Columbus State Community College. He was the chairman of the deacon board at Zion Baptist Church in Troy. He was a liaison at the Lincoln Community Center in Troy. Larry loved his church, his family, serving the community, and was always a great friend to those he encountered.

A visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:30AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at C&H Community for Funerals in Ypsilanti, MI. A graveside service with military honors will follow in Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, MI.
