Larry James Dottery II

January 4, 1977 - May 18, 2020

Larry “Punkin” James Dottery II was born on January 4, 1977. He was the eldest son of Larry Sr. and Sharyn Dottery. He grew up in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area, where he accumulated numerous life-long friends. Punkin attended Ann Arbor Public Schools and graduated from Ann Arbor Huron High School in 1995. He was a member of UAW Local 324. He obtained his Journeyman Card after five years of Heavy Equipment Operation School. Punkin was also an Over the Truck Driver and Road Hauler. Punkin was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was a member of Saving Faith Christian Fellowship Church. Punkin loved his family. He loved being at any event that involved his family. Whenever you saw Punkin, he had this big infectious smile. His passions were his Daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauryn. He tried to be the best father he could. He also loved to cook and eat. He loved U of M Football games! Punkin left his mark and will be sorely missed! We Love you Punkin!! Larry James Dottery II leaves behind his children, Kaitlyn Dottery (Kela McClure) and Lauryn Dottery (Jamara Carter). His parents, Larry James Dottery, Sr. and Sharyn Dottery. His maternal grandmother, Albertina Baker. His siblings, London (Leslie) Dottery, Antoine (Carmen) Dottery, Kevin Whitney, Anturnette Williams, Angela Stewart, LaTara Dottery, Tina Crockett (sister/cousin), and Toriano Dottery (brother/cousin). He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Thomas Allen, great grandmother Susie Wells, and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Josephine Dottery. Siblings, Stephanie Brunette Loving and Everett Anthony Morgan. His uncles Vernell Baker and Danny Dottery, Sr. He also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves to mourn, a special friend Toya Vinston. Larry “Punkin” Dottery II crossed the threshold on May 18, 2020 at the age of 43. Memories and the love he shared will forever live on.
