Jolonda Dorsette

Celebrating the life of Jolonda Renee Dorsette "JJ" January 24 1990 - June 2 2020. Jolonda Renee Dorsette was born on January 24th, 1990 in Ypsilanti,Michigan. She was the second born child and second daughter to Joseph Stevenson and Shelisa Stevenson (Walls).
Jolonda accepted Christ at an early age and she attended Love Temple in Jackson Michigan. She loved the Lord and her family and friends . Jolonda always had a loving heart and helping hand. She would help anyone. Jolonda had many nicknames, such as, JJ, Fat Nae, BO and Woncha. Jolonda attended Ypsilanti Public Schools and Jackson Public Schools and later obtained her High School Diploma from Job Corp in Cleveland Ohio. She also enjoyed braiding hair and doing nails at a young age . She also enjoyed hanging with her friends but what made her most comfortable was being at home watching her favorite TV shows and movies. On March 27th, 2017 Jolonda married her soul mate and best friend Pierre Renee Dorsette who she called "Shot" throughout their union they didn't have kids but Jolonda was proud to be a Step-Mother to 6 and a grandmother to one. Jolonda leaves behind to cherish her memories Pierre Dorsette, her husband and one grandchild Amina Dorsette. Her Parents Joseph and Shelisa Stevenson, two sisters Sharese and Joleece Stevenson, three brothers Joseph Jr., Joquan, and Damascus Stevenson' one niece Sha'Niyea Stevenson and two nephews Daeon and DaLonte Shivers; eight Aunties Earlene, Tawonna, Anitra, and Theresa Stevenson. Beatrice Franklin, Talisa (Arthur) Wolfe and Chasity (Steve) Gibson; five Uncles Wiilie (Renee) Stevenson, Robert Levy, Tracey (Timika) Burley, Kenneth Walls III, James Anderson and her beloved pets "Foxy" & "Billie". Among several god brothers and sisters she had two special ones Damarco Malone and sister Starnesha White. Jolonda leaves behind thirty first cousins a few special ones and a host of others. She left behind three godchildren Taylor Williams, Isaiah White, and Amaya Page she loved dearly. A few special friends Ashley Page, LovMochea Williams, Kim Willis, and Erica Brenner.She was proceeded in death by her son Jaylin Stevenson, four grandparents James (Ora Lee) Stevenson, Kenneth Walls II and Floritta Burley; two Aunties Betty Jean (Otis) Vinson, Dorothy Anderson; one uncle Jimmie Stevenson and cousin Ebony Stevenson.
