Ernestine Roach Obituary

Ernestine Roach left this world at the age of 81 on February 1, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. Ernestine was born on July 28, 1940, in Madison, MS. After graduating from high school, she met and married Bennie Roach in the summer of 1962 and they had five children to this union. She was a devout church-goer and was very active throughout the years as President of the Usher Ministry, Chair of the Kitchen Ministry, Chair of the Program Committee, the 1st Sunday School Superintendent, Choir Member and Mother on the Mother’s Board.

Ernestine was predeceased by her parents, Willie and Ernestine Smith, sister Leaner Camper, brothers Elmore Smith and Versell Smith, and grandson, Javon Roach. She leaves behind her children, B. Lorenzo Roache (NY), Lovida Roach, Vanessa Roach, Daphne (Herb) Copeland and Richard Roach, her grandchildren: Michael Roach, Michelle Dennis, Mikalia Dennis, Ciante Roach, Richarra Roach , Richard L. Roach II, Kaiden Roach, her siblings: Essie L. Shelton, Willie B. (Carrie) Smith, Alfornia (Catherine) Smith, Willie L. (Harvey) Glaze, Doristine (Paul) Evans, Stacy Smith, and Sister-in-Law: Christina Smith, her godchildren: Alfornia Webster and Ramona Weir, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
