Carla M. Glaze

July 17, 1964 - February 28, 2020

Carla Michelle Glaze was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 17, 1964, to Christine Lee Glaze and Isaiah Glaze Jr. She went to be with her Lord on February 28, 2020. Carla was a supportive caring person, always the person who would call you if you lost a loved one or help you if you were moving. She loved to attend graduations, games, birthdays, and other family events. You could always count on Carla to help you out whether family, friend or someone in need of help. Carla was a loving daughter, caring sister, devoted aunt and considerate friend. She was smart, beautiful, loving, respectful, kind-hearted, giving, funny, and most importantly she loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul. Carla accepted the Lord in her twenties and was baptized at The Bible Church in Ypsilanti. Carla loved learning about the Lord and she loved her church and her family. She served for years on the usher board as well as serving on the board of the National Black Pro-Life Congress. She used her immense talents to support the financial activities of the organization. Carla attended Ann Arbor Public Schools and she graduated from Huron High School in 1982. After high school, she attended Eastern Michigan University earning a Bachelor's degree in accounting then receiving a Master's degree in Information Systems. For years she worked in many professions including Big Eight accounting, programming, renewable energy, education and consulting. She was passionate about politics and in 2005 was elected to serve as a Republican delegate for Washtenaw County. She is survived by her mother Christine Glaze, two sisters Connie (Lee) Hallom and Angela Glaze, her cousin who was like a brother, Darryl Munson and two special aunts Lillie Munson and Charlene (James) Glaze. Preceding her in death was her father, Isaiah Glaze Jr. Also, surviving her are nieces Nia, Lexxus, and Trinity, step-niece Chiquita and nephews Christopher, Myles, and Isaiah, whom she loved dearly. Carla is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed by her special friends Kelly Rusher, Sharon Hall, Lewander Davis, Sharlene Deskins, Stephen Nkansah and so many other good friends. She will also be missed by her beloved Bible Church family.
