On 6 April 2022, Anita returned to the loving arms of our Creator and our ancestors. She accepted Christ into her life at a young age. Anita was born to Bobby Hobbs (deceased) and JP Hobbs in Haleyville, Alabama, she grew up knowing the love of a village.
Anita is predeceased by her grandparents, paternal: Sam Hobbs, Levester James (grandmother) and Nina Hobbs (grandmother). maternal: Johnny Lanier and Flora Smith-Lanier, father: Bobby Hobbs, nephew: Stephen Hobbs.
She leaves behind her mother: JP Hobbs, sister: Debra Hobbs-Jackson, brothers: Bobby Hobbs and Stephen "Ken" Hobbs, sons: Christopher Hobbs and Dominic Hobbs. She leaves here many, too many to list, but you are all here. She was graced with aunts, uncles, several grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and generations to come. Her journey ends here, thank you for being a part of the journey.
Memorial services will be held at C&H Funeral Home at 411 South Adam's Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Services will begin at 4p.m. and end by or before 7p.m. on Tuesday, 12 April. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Men Like Us, located at 3011 East Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti. Food contributions should be sent to this location after 4p.m.
