Veterans: With dedication to your country comes Honor and Burial Benefits

Your country would like to give back to you the same honor and pride you bestowed upon it. As a strong supporter of our veterans, Community Home for Funerals would like you to know that the Detroit Area National Cemetery gives you the honorable burial you deserve. The cemetery is scheduled for a 2004 opening and will be conveniently located in Holly Township. As an honorable discharged veteran, you and your spouse will be entitled to a FREE grave space, opening and closing of the grave, perpetual care of the interment site, grave marker and a grave liner from the National Cemetery. To further honor our veterans, Community Home for Funerals have developed a Veterans Package to accompany the services we provide to honorable discharged veterans. The essential purposes of National Selected Morticians as an active and leading association in funeral service were explained by Roger L. Sharp, President of Sharp Funeral Homes. These are four-fold: 1) To study, develop and establish the highest standards of service for the benefit of the public; 2) To provide a continuing forum for the exchange, development and dissemination of knowledge and information beneficial to members and the public; 3) To furnish information to members and to the public regarding all aspects of funeral service; 4) To cooperate with other organizations, public and private, to achieve these purposes. Membership in NSM consists of independent funeral service establishments, operated by persons of integrity, good moral character, professional ability of a high type, and dedicated to the principle that their calling involves special responsibilities to society.
